The viewed-marker feature (#1441) reintroduced an owner-only gate on
thread reads, regressing #1425 which made all threads readable by any
org user. Reads no longer assert ownership; viewed markers are only
written for the thread owner.

* feat: per-repo custom instructions for the coding agent
Adds per-repository custom instructions for the main coding agent,

* feat: out-of-process usage-snapshot builder (Phase 1)
Move all usage-tab compute off the run-serving HTTP process (the #1434 bug
class). Read path is now a pure cache read with a typed computing placeholder
on cold miss; a dedicated usage_snapshot graph + global ~10min cron rebuild
every period's snapshot out-of-process, wrapped in asyncio.timeout and gated by
USAGE_SNAPSHOT_CRON_ENABLED. Lifespan makes one fire-and-forget scheduling call,
never a retained/looping task.
* fix: address PR review on usage-snapshot builder
- admin guard on /admin/usage/rebuild (was any logged-in user)
- cap lifespan loopback calls with asyncio.timeout(5) so a startup hang
can't block boot
- memoize cron registration so steady-state requests skip the loopback
check; reap duplicate crons from concurrent-replica races
- thread the computing flag through the usage payload too
* feat: add Claude Fable 5 as a supported model
Add Anthropic's claude-fable-5 (Mythos-class, released June 9 2026) to

* fix: order Fable 5 after Opus 4.8 so stale-Anthropic fallback is preserved
provider_fallback_pair picks the first same-provider model, so placing
Fable 5 first redirected stale Opus selections to it. Keep Opus 4.8 first.

* fix: prevent thread prefetches from marking threads viewed
Sidebar prefetches now request thread details with mark_viewed=false so

threads the user has not opened.

* fix: always refetch active thread on mount to mark viewed
Prefetches cache details fetched with mark_viewed=false under the same
query key as the active thread. Forcing refetchOnMount="always" ensures
opening a thread issues a mark_viewed=true request, so last_viewed_* is
recorded even when prefetched data is still fresh.

* feat: make web threads viewable by any org user
Reads (get/stream) now allow any logged-in org user to view a thread
whose source is surfaced (dashboard/github/slack/linear/schedule),
instead of requiring ownership. Internal reviewer/analyzer threads stay
hidden via the same source filter. Writes (send/cancel/delete) remain
owner-only.
Adds GET /threads?all=true to list every surfaced thread; the default
list stays per-user.
* feat: make all web threads readable by any org user
Drop the per-thread source/owner gate on reads: any logged-in org user
can now view and stream any thread, including reviewer/analyzer threads.
GET /threads?all=true returns every thread regardless of source. Writes
(send/cancel/delete) stay owner-only. All routes remain behind the
session + org-login gate.

* fix: tag Slack threads with stored identity so they surface in web
process_slack_mention gated the run on mapped_login (resolved from the stable
Slack user id), but upsert_agent_thread_owner_metadata independently re-resolved
the GitHub login from the Slack profile email. When that email differs from the
user's mapping email (e.g. a personal vs work address), the lookup returned None,
so github_login was never stamped on the thread and the thread never surfaced in
the web Agents UI (which searches by github_login / triggering_user_email).
Resolve the GitHub user from the store via the Slack id, pass that login through
to the owner metadata, and use the mapping's stored work email (falling back to
the Slack profile email for unmapped users) for both the run config and the
thread tagging, so Slack-started threads reliably appear in web.
* fix: stamp github_login on Slack threads so they surface in web
process_slack_mention gated the run on mapped_login (resolved from the stable
Slack user id) but upsert_agent_thread_owner_metadata re-resolved the login from
the Slack profile email; when that email isn't the user's mapping email the
lookup returns None and github_login is never stamped, so the thread is invisible
in the web Agents UI (which searches by github_login / triggering_user_email).
Pass the already-resolved mapped_login through to the owner metadata. The
dashboard match keys on the stable GitHub login, so this is sufficient; the
triggering email stays the live Slack profile value.
* fix: preserve Slack email during account mapping
* fix: require Slack OIDC for email mappings
* chore: format Slack OIDC mapping cleanup
Slack thread replies and Linear comments showed only the bare tool name in the dashboard chat. Map them to dedicated 'slack'/'linear' toolKinds and render the message body in a ReplyCard, so Open-in-Web shows what the agent actually posted.
* fix: make repository optional when starting a dashboard run
The agent infers and clones the target repo from the task itself, so a
default repo is never actually required to run — but the dashboard 400'd
("no default repository configured") when a user had none set.
Treat repo as optional: _resolve_repo_config returns {} instead of
raising, repo metadata/config are only written when a repo is present,
and the "missing repository metadata" gate on follow-up messages is
dropped. UI hides the repo chip when absent.
* feat: add repo picker to the run prompt bar
Adds an optional, searchable repository selector next to the model picker
on the Agents home prompt bar (Cursor-style). It pre-fills the user's saved
default repo and can be cleared to "No repository" for a repo-less run.
Because the picker now resolves the default on the client, the create
endpoint honors the request value verbatim: _resolve_repo_config just parses
what's sent ({} when empty) instead of falling back to the saved default,
so an explicit "No repository" is respected.
* refactor: match Cursor layout for repo placement
Move the repo selector out of the prompt-box footer to a pill row above
the input (folder + caret, dropdown opens downward); the model picker
stays inside the box. In the thread view, show the thread title and repo
in a header at the top of the chat, with the follow-up input pinned to
the bottom as before.
* fix: deliver Slack account-link prompt as a visible threaded reply
Blocked Slack users got no prompt at all. Prod logs show chat.postEphemeral
returns ok, but ephemeral messages are silently dropped in Slack's assistant
threads (where Open SWE runs), so the user sees nothing. Post the prompt as a
normal threaded reply instead — the same channel the agent uses to reply.
* fix: deliver Slack auth-failure prompt as a visible threaded reply
leave_failure_comment() tried an ephemeral message first and only fell back
to a thread reply on failure. Ephemeral messages succeed (ok) but are dropped
in Slack's assistant threads, so the fallback never fired and the user saw no
auth-failure prompt. Post the visible threaded reply directly, matching the
account-link prompt fix.
* fix: prompt blocked Slack users with a generic, token-free dashboard link
Addresses the review findings that posting the per-user account-link token /
auth URL in a visible thread lets any channel member bind their GitHub account
to the triggering user's Slack identity.
Drop the per-user signed link entirely. Both the account-link prompt
(_post_account_link_prompt) and the runtime auth-failure prompt
(leave_failure_comment) now post a plain dashboard settings link
(build_settings_url) as a visible threaded reply. The user signs in with GitHub
from their own session and connects Slack via verified OIDC on the settings
page — no secret in the thread, nothing to hijack, and no DM machinery.
* feat: nudge first-time users to connect Slack from the dashboard home
Show a Connect Slack banner on the agents landing page whenever Slack OAuth is
enabled and the user hasn't linked Slack yet. A first-time user (no Slack
mapping) sees it immediately after signing in; it disappears once connected.
* feat: prompt first-time users to connect Slack via a dialog
Replace the inline Connect Slack card on the agents home with a modal dialog
(Base UI). It opens automatically once the mapping query resolves to
"not connected" and closes itself once Slack is linked; "Maybe later" dismisses
it for the session. No new dependency — uses the design system's Base UI.
* copy: frame Slack connect as resolving the user's GitHub account
Drop 'act/reply on your behalf' wording across the connect-Slack dialog, the
Slack thread prompts (blocked + auth-failure), and the settings description.
Connecting Slack lets Open SWE resolve the user's GitHub account when they tag
it in Slack.
* fix: clearer Slack prompt for users who must sign in with GitHub
The Slack gate labeled any mapped-but-tokenless user as having an
"expired or revoked" authorization, keyed off whether a *mapping* row
existed. Most blocked users are team members in the legacy hardcoded
mapping who have simply never completed a dashboard GitHub login, so the
message was misleading and steered them toward reconnecting Slack (which
never creates a token).
Base the prompt on whether an oauth_tokens *record* exists:
- no record -> ask the user to sign in with GitHub and connect Slack
- record but unusable -> ask the user to sign in with GitHub again
Add has_access_token_record() to distinguish the two cases.
* fix: guard token-record check so a store failure still prompts sign-in
The has_access_token_record() lookup ran outside the defensive handling
around token resolution. If the store read fails it would raise before
posting the sign-in prompt and clearing the Slack assistant status.
Wrap it like get_valid_access_token: on failure, default to the
sign-in/connect prompt.
* feat: open Slack-triggered PRs as the triggering user
Route the Slack per-user GitHub token through the dashboard OAuth store
(the backend the self-service link prompt populates) and block runs that
lack a valid user token, prompting the user to (re-)link. Per-user OAuth
now wins over bot-token-only mode for mapped Slack/dashboard users.
Flip commit/PR authorship across all sources: the triggering user is the
commit author (via repo-local git identity using their resolvable GitHub
noreply email) and open-swe[bot] is the Co-authored-by collaborator.
* fix: address PR review — shell-escape commit identity, fix token cache impersonation
- Shell-escape the triggering user's name/email with shlex.quote before
embedding them in the repo-setup `git config` command, so a name like
O'Connor (or a crafted one) can't break or inject into the command.
- Stop consulting the shared thread-metadata token cache in
_resolve_dashboard_user_token. Slack thread ids are shared across the
conversation, so a cached token from a prior triggering user could be
returned for the current github_login. Always resolve by login from the
dashboard OAuth store instead.
* feat: dashboard self-service user mapping + UI cleanup
- Add session-scoped GET/PUT /dashboard/api/my-mapping so users can set their
own work email / Slack member ID (keyed by their GitHub login, source=self).
- Slack account-link prompt now redirects to Profile Settings after auth.
- Rename "My Settings" -> "Profile Settings" and "Cloud Agents" -> "Open SWE
Agent"; remove the Integrations tab/section (folded out, low value for now)
and redirect /integrations to Profile Settings.
- Add a "User mapping" section to Profile Settings (work email used by Slack
and Linear, optional Slack member ID).
- Make dashboard auth cookies scheme-aware: Secure;SameSite=None over HTTPS,
non-Secure;SameSite=Lax over http://localhost so local login works.
* feat: self-service Slack account linking via Sign in with Slack (OIDC)
Replace the spoofable manual work-email/Slack-ID form with a verified
"Sign in with Slack" flow so a logged-in GitHub user can only ever link
their own Slack identity.
- New agent/dashboard/slack_oauth.py: OIDC authorize URL, code exchange,
userInfo identity parse, optional workspace gate, configured check.
- routes.py: session-gated GET /slack/login and /slack/callback that upsert
the mapping from Slack-verified user_id + email (source=slack_oauth).
Remove the spoofable PUT /my-mapping; expose slack_oauth_enabled on /me.
- UI: drop the editable inputs; add a Connect Slack button + status to the
User mapping section.
Admin-managed mappings are unaffected and still resolve at trigger time.
When sending a message to a thread from the Agents chat UI, the run used
the OAuth profile email (which can be a personal account that isn't an org
member). For Slack-originated threads resumed from the UI, auth routes
through the email-based path and fails ("Could not find a LangSmith account").
Resolve the run email via the GitHub->email mapping first, falling back to
the profile email only when no mapping exists, matching the github-source
auth path.
* chore: remove legacy mapping + admin profiles section, page user mappings
- Delete the hardcoded github_user_email_map.py and the one-time
POST /admin/user-mappings/import endpoint + Import legacy mapping UI
button (the Store is now the sole source of truth post-import).
- Remove the per-user profiles admin section and its GET/PUT
/admin/profiles endpoints + ProfileForm component; users still manage
their own profile via My Settings.
- Page the user mappings list: /admin/user-mappings now takes
page/page_size and returns {items,total,page,page_size}; the admin UI
shows 20 rows per page with Previous/Next controls.
* Address review: fix stale import-button doc + clamp mappings page on shrink
* Replace hardcoded GitHub-email map with Store-backed user mapping
Move the static GITHUB_USER_EMAIL_MAP to a Store-backed bidirectional
mapping (GitHub login <-> work email <-> optional Slack ID) with an
in-process cache, self-service onboarding, and admin management.
- agent/dashboard/user_mappings.py: Store CRUD + login/email/slack-id
indexes, sync cache readers for hot paths, async fallthrough, and a
bulk_import that preserves existing richer records.
- Migrate all read sites (auth.py, agent_overrides.py, authorship.py,
github_comments.py, webapp.py x2) off the dict.
- Unmapped Slack tags now run on the GitHub App installation token
(use_installation_token_fallback) and get an ephemeral "link your
GitHub account" prompt carrying the Slack id + email via a signed
account-link token threaded through the OAuth state.
- OAuth callback completes a self-service (org-gated) mapping from that
token, falling back to the verified GitHub email.
- Admin CRUD endpoints + one-time legacy import; dashboard UI section.
- Legacy dict retained only as the import payload (no longer read).
Tests: mapping store, account-link round-trip + completion, mapped vs
unmapped Slack flows; existing trust-gate tests updated to prime cache.
* Address review: cold-cache email resolution + stale alias de-indexing
- agent_overrides: add resolve_login_from_email_async that falls through to
the Store on a cold cache; use it at the async repo-resolution call sites
(Slack repo config, Linear comment, owner-metadata) so a mapped user still
resolves to their GitHub login + dashboard default_repo on a fresh worker.
- user_mappings.upsert_mapping: de-index the existing login before re-indexing
so a changed email/Slack id no longer leaves stale aliases resolving to the
login in-process.
- Tests for both fixes; update Slack repo-config test to patch the async resolver.
* Lock dashboard login to GitHub org members
Add an org-membership gate to the dashboard OAuth callback. After
resolving the GitHub login, enforce_org_login_gate(login) checks the
existing ALLOWED_GITHUB_ORGS allowlist before issuing a session.
- Reuses ALLOWED_GITHUB_ORGS (no new config knob) and
is_user_active_org_member (installation-token check, so no extra
OAuth scope and private memberships are visible).
- Fail-open when unset/blank so existing deployments keep working;
fail-closed on API errors.
- Gate runs before the session cookie/token is persisted.
Adds unit tests and documents the behavior in INSTALLATION.md.

* fix: reset stale sandbox creation sentinel
Co-authored-by: Johannes du Plessis <51395795+johannes117@users.noreply.github.com>
* fix: treat SANDBOX_CREATING as a timestamped cross-process lock
Only reset the sentinel when proven stale (older than the creation
timeout); otherwise wait for the worker that holds the lock so a
concurrent run does not create a duplicate sandbox.
* feat(analyzer): outcomes dataset + bootstrap/continual split via skills
Rename the review_style_analyzer graph to `analyzer` and split it into two
modes, plus capture reviewer finding outcomes for continual learning.
- Outcomes dataset: upsert resolved-by-commit (positive), dismissed (false
positive), and GitHub/Slack thumbs findings into a single LangSmith dataset
(openswe-reviewer-outcomes), keyed deterministically per finding+source.
Emit points wired into update_finding, resolve_finding_thread, and the
GitHub/Slack reaction handlers.
- Two playbooks delivered as deepagents skills (bootstrap-repo-analysis,
continual-learning), served as virtual files via a CompositeBackend /skills/
route + StateBackend (seeded into the run files channel at invoke time, never
written to the sandbox). Mode is set by the launcher; continual runs fall
back to the GitHub App installation token.
- Split launcher into start_bootstrap_analysis + start_continual_run; register
a per-repo nightly continual-learning cron when bootstrap completes.
- New read_finding_outcomes tool feeds confirmed/dismissed findings back to the
continual playbook.
Tests for outcome label mapping, skills helper, and cron idempotency.
* fix(analyzer): anchor continual cron runs to a real thread_id
The nightly continual-learning cron is threadless, and get_analyzer
early-returns an empty agent when configurable.thread_id is missing — so
every cron-launched run no-op'd before reading outcomes or saving a refined
prompt. Include the repo's deterministic analyzer thread_id in the continual
run configurable so the run executes; the threadless run carries no message
history, so nightly runs don't accumulate context.
* refactor(analyzer): move cron lifecycle calls out of the review-styles store
Drop the inline `analyzer_cron` imports from review_styles.py (added only to
dodge a circular import) by relocating the cron-trigger calls to the layer
above the store: registration to the save_review_style tool (after a prompt is
saved) and removal to the dashboard delete route. review_styles.py is now a
pure store again with top-level imports only.
* refactor: hoist reviewer_outcomes imports to module level
Move the two inline emit_finding_status_outcome imports introduced in this PR
(update_finding, resolve_finding_thread) to top-level imports. reviewer_outcomes
only depends on langsmith, so there is no circular import to avoid.

* feat: surface all of a user's agent threads in the Agents UI
Previously the Agents UI only listed and allowed opening threads with
source=dashboard. Threads triggered from GitHub, Slack, or Linear were
hidden and could not be opened.
- Persist owner-identifying metadata (source, github_login,
triggering_user_email, source_context) onto the thread for each
webhook-triggered main-agent run via upsert_agent_thread_owner_metadata,
resolving a github_login from the triggering email where possible.
- Relax dashboard thread listing/ownership to surface github/slack/linear
threads owned by the logged-in user (matched by github_login or email),
and preserve the original source + reply-routing context when continuing
such threads from the UI.
- Add a source field to the thread summary and render a source icon
(GitHub/Slack/Linear) on thread items in the sidebar and run cards.
* Normalize triggering email when persisting thread owner metadata
Mixed-case Slack/Linear emails were stored verbatim, but the dashboard
searches with a lowercased value, so those threads never surfaced for
their owner. Normalize at write time to match _thread_owner_email.

* feat: upgrade default agent + reviewer model to Opus 4.8
Replace Opus 4.7 with Opus 4.8 (claude-opus-4-8) as the supported
Anthropic model surfaced in the profile editor and used by the main
agent and reviewer graphs. Effort levels (low/medium/high/xhigh/max)
and the high default are unchanged, matching the official Opus 4.8
docs. Updates eval config comment and tests accordingly.
* fix: provider-aware fallback for stale stored model ids
Dropping claude-opus-4-7 from the supported set meant persisted
profile/team-settings still holding it failed the SUPPORTED_MODEL_IDS
check and fell through to default_model_pair() — a cross-provider jump
to the OpenAI global default.
Add provider_fallback_pair: when a stored id is no longer supported but
its provider still has a supported model, resolve to that provider's
newest supported model (anthropic:claude-opus-4-7 -> 4.8), preserving
effort when valid. Resolution order is now: valid stored pair ->
same-provider fallback -> global default_model_pair(). Profile overrides
keep deferring to the team default when no model is set or the provider
is unknown.
* fix(dashboard): stream agent tokens to the Agents UI
The dashboard SSE endpoint was serializing the SDK's `StreamPart`
namedtuple via `str(part)`, so every event arrived at the browser
with `event = "StreamPart(event='values', data=..., id=None)"`. The
frontend's `event.startsWith("messages")` branch never fired and
every event fell through to a query refetch — which is why tool
calls appeared to stream (state refetch) but assistant text did not.
Also opt the run into `messages-tuple` stream mode so the server
actually buffers per-token `AIMessageChunk` events, and forward
`Last-Event-ID` so reconnects resume the in-flight run instead of
restarting from `seq=0`.
* fix(dashboard): drop unsupported stream_mode arg from join_stream
threads.join_stream's stream_mode is a ThreadStreamMode literal
(run_modes/lifecycle/state_update); passing run-level modes is
invalid. The default 'run_modes' already replays the modes the
run was created with, which we set correctly on runs.create.

* feat: auto-review PRs on opened / ready-for-review
Trigger Open SWE Review on `pull_request` actions `opened` and
`ready_for_review` against the canonical reviewer thread (no need to
request open-swe[bot] as a reviewer). `converted_to_draft` now also
flips watch=False on the existing reviewer thread.
Draft PRs are gated by a tri-state user setting on the profile:
inherit team default, always on, or always off. The team-wide
`review_draft_prs` setting is the org-wide default; each user can
override it in My Settings.
External contributors with no Open SWE profile fall back to the team
default.
* fix: PR review comments — auth source + draft-aware watch toggle
- `process_github_pr_ready` now dispatches with `source="github"` so the
auth resolver finds the bot token persisted on the thread. The previous
`source="github_auto"` fell through to the email-based path in non
bot-token-only deployments and failed with a missing-user-email error.
- `converted_to_draft` no longer unconditionally clears `watch`. When the
PR author's effective `review_draft_prs` setting is on, watch stays on
so subsequent pushes still trigger re-reviews while the PR is in draft.
* feat(reviewer): skip "no issues found" comment on empty re-reviews
A re-review run with no new findings to surface no longer posts another
"Open SWE Review: No issues found" comment on the PR. The "no issues"
summary now only appears on the first review of a PR — matching Devin's
behavior, where subsequent reviews are silent unless there's something
new to flag.
Resolved-thread reconciliation and ``last_reviewed_sha`` persistence
still happen on the skipped path, so findings the user just fixed still
get their GitHub threads marked resolved, and the next push event sees
an up-to-date dedup SHA.

* feat(ui): polish Agents UI with floating prompt and layout cleanup

* fix(agent): patch deepagents reducer for None messages on checkpoint replay
LangGraph thread state could 500 when cancelled runs left messages as None.
Apply the reducer guard before graph import, fall back to metadata in the
dashboard API, and adjust Agents prompt bar layout.

* feat(ui): unify sidebar user menu and clean up Agents UI navigation
Extract SidebarUserMenu so the dashboard and Agents sidebars render the
same profile button, drop the redundant Agents nav row in favor of the
existing Back to Agents link, add the open-swe logo header to the Agents
sidebar, flatten the New Agent button, and cap the home screen run list
to keep the prompt input in view.
* feat(ui): resizable/collapsible sidebar shared across dashboard and Agents
Add a useSidebarLayout hook + SidebarFrame wrapper so both sidebars
share a persisted width (default 260px, drag to resize, 200-420 range)
and a collapse toggle that hides the panel and surfaces a floating
reopen button. Also adds a DELETE /threads/{id} endpoint and an X-on-
hover thread delete control in the Agents sidebar.
* feat(ui): instant user message and busy indicator on Agents transition
Stash submitted prompts in sessionStorage, pre-populate the new thread
detail cache, and merge pending prompts into the rendered message list
so the Agents page renders the user bubble plus the existing thinking
spinner immediately instead of flashing a skeleton and "Agent is
starting" while the run boots.
* feat(ui): token-stream agent replies in the Agents thread view
Opt the LangGraph runs into messages-tuple streaming and forward those
events through the existing SSE channel. The frontend now applies
AIMessageChunk deltas directly to the cached thread (cancelling any
in-flight refetch first so optimistic tokens are not clobbered) and
keeps positional pending prompts so the user bubble stays in the right
place while the agent streams its reply.
* fix(dashboard): await threads.join_stream before iterating
threads.join_stream is async def returning an AsyncIterator, so it must
be awaited before async for. The SSE endpoint was raising
TypeError: 'async for' requires an object with __aiter__ method, got
coroutine on every connection.
* fix(dashboard): drop messages-tuple stream_mode that broke thinking-mode tool turns
Setting stream_mode=["values","messages-tuple","updates"] on
runs.create forces langchain_anthropic into streaming, and on the
second model call (after tool execution) its serialized thinking
blocks come back malformed, so Anthropic rejects the request with
'messages.1.content.0.thinking.thinking: Field required'. Revert to
the default stream_mode so claude-opus thinking + tool use runs to
completion. The frontend keeps the messages-event handler in place
as a no-op fallback for when streaming is re-enabled.
* feat(agents): per-thread model picker wired through to the run
Add optional model_id/effort to the create-thread and send-message
request bodies, forward them as agent_model_id/agent_effort in the
LangGraph run configurable, and record the resolved choice in thread
metadata so the UI can show the model the run is actually using.
get_agent now picks the per-thread override last (highest priority over
team default + profile override) and falls back gracefully when it is
absent or unsupported.
The frontend prompt bar becomes a controlled component fed by a
shared useModelOptions hook (options + profile -> defaultSelection).
AgentsHome seeds the picker from the user's profile default; the
thread view seeds from the thread's recorded model/effort and lets
each follow-up retarget the run.
* refactor(ui): align Agents prompt bar layout with open-swe-app PromptBar
Drop the absolute-positioned send button, restore the original
px-4 py-3.5 min-h-[106px] flex-col container, and move the model
picker into a mt-auto pt-2 footer row so the placeholder text and
the model selector share the same horizontal padding.
* chore: fix lint/format CI failures
Remove unused imports and reformat two files flagged by ruff.
* fix(tests): stop messages-reducer patch tests from polluting the suite
Restore agent modules after reducer patch tests and import LangSmithSandbox
from agent.server in proxy refresh tests so isinstance checks stay valid.

* fix(dashboard): review style prompts UX, stale runs, and OAuth refresh
Reconcile stuck "running" analysis state, add cancel/remove for style
profiles, stack the review styles UI vertically, and auto-refresh expiring
GitHub user tokens with proactive and 401-triggered rotation.
* fix(dashboard): address review feedback on style prompts PR
Restore GitHub repo access checks on create/save with token refresh,
and preserve running status when LangGraph sync fails transiently.

* feat(dashboard): restructure Open SWE Review tab + wire create_prs
Restructures the dashboard around two related changes the reviewer settings
have been asking for:
- Wire profile.create_prs. Defaults to true (opt-out); when off the system
prompt gets a `Pull Request Policy Override` section telling the agent
to push the branch and notify with the branch URL instead of opening a
PR. Removes the noop Slack Notifications / Allow Artifacts / First Name
/ Last Name controls and their schema fields.
- Repositories opt-in for Open SWE Review. New per-team enabled list
stored in the LangGraph Store (`["enabled_review_repos"]`). Every
reviewer webhook chokepoint now goes through `_is_repo_enabled_for_review`
which AND-combines the existing env allowlist with the dashboard list.
Default is empty (opt-in) — admins enable repos per-installation from
the new Repositories page nested under Open SWE Review.
- Open SWE Review tab now mirrors the Cursor "rules" pattern: main page
shows installation rows + a Rules entry; both drill into nested pages
(/review/repositories/$owner and /review/styles) with a back link.
- Adds the new logo/favicon assets shipped from sidebar + html head.
Tests pass with a new autouse fixture (`tests/conftest.py`) that defaults
`is_review_repo_enabled` to True for existing allowlist tests.
* fix(dashboard): make main content scroll independently of the sidebar
Outer flex container was min-h-svh, so it grew with main's content and the
whole page scrolled — sidebar moved with it. Pin to h-svh + overflow-hidden
so the sidebar stays put and only <main> scrolls.
* fix(dashboard): make disabled repo toggles obviously disabled
Switch's disabled state used opacity-50 against a muted background, so
the not-admin state looked nearly identical to the off state. Bump to
opacity-40 + grayscale, and wrap each repo toggle in a span carrying a
native hover tooltip explaining why it's disabled.
* fix(switch): handle base-ui's data-disabled state
base-ui's Switch.Root sets data-disabled (not the HTML disabled attribute)
when disabled, so Tailwind's disabled: variant never matches and the
button keeps its cursor-pointer + clickable look. Mirror the styling
under the data-[disabled] variant and add pointer-events-none so the
disabled state is both visible and actually unclickable.
* feat(dashboard): paginate per-installation repository list
20 repos per page with Prev / page X of Y / Next controls at the bottom.
Pager only renders when there are more than 20 repos. Page resets to 0
when navigating between installations.
* feat(dashboard): global default model selectors for Agent + Reviewer
Adds team-wide default model + reasoning effort for both agents in the
Admin tab so operators can switch models without redeploying.
Resolution chain:
Agent: hardcoded -> LLM_MODEL_ID env -> team default -> user profile
Reviewer: hardcoded -> LLM_MODEL_ID env -> team default -> per-call configurable
Team defaults live in team_settings and are validated against the
SUPPORTED_MODELS allowlist + the model's supported reasoning efforts.
'Inherit from env' clears the override and falls back to LLM_MODEL_ID.
* refactor(models): drop LLM_MODEL_ID env in favour of the team default
The team default is now the single source of truth for the runtime model
choice; per-user (agent) and per-call configurable (reviewer) selections
still win on top. When no admin has touched the team default, it surfaces
the hardcoded fallback (DEFAULT_MODEL_ID + its default effort), so the
admin UI's dropdown is always pre-populated with a sensible value.
The Admin UI loses the 'Inherit from env' option since there is no longer
an env layer to inherit from.
* chore(models): set hardcoded fallback to gpt-5.5 medium
Decouple the team-default boot value (gpt-5.5 / medium) from each model's
ProfileForm-suggested default_effort so we can change one without nudging
the other. The Opus xhigh default for new user profiles is unchanged.
* feat(dashboard): trigger-mode copy, Coming Soon badges, logout in My Settings
- Rename trigger mode 'ready_for_review' -> 'once_per_pr' with new
description copy that matches the screenshot. Legacy stored values
fall back to 'every_push' on read so the UI never shows an unknown
selection.
- Add a 'Coming soon' badge + greyed-out + disabled state on the
controls that don't have runtime consumers yet: Trigger Mode,
Autofix Mode, Autofix Severity Threshold, and Automatically fix CI
failures. SettingsRow grew a comingSoon prop to keep this consistent.
- My Settings drops the noop PR Preferences section and adds a Sign
Out button. preferred_pr_destination is removed from the profile
schema; old records get the field popped on next write.

* feat(dashboard): refactor UI into Cursor-style sidebar layout
Replace the top-bar AppHeader with a left sidebar that holds the four
primary sections (My Settings, Cloud Agents, Open SWE Review,
Integrations) and the user account menu at the bottom. Admin remains a
hidden route reachable from the sidebar only when is_admin.
UI:
- AppShell + AppSidebar with bottom-anchored avatar/sign-out menu.
- My Settings: profile (first/last name) + PR destination preference.
- Cloud Agents: model/effort, default repo, base branch, branch prefix,
PR toggles (auto-fix CI, create PRs, allow artifacts), Slack
notifications.
- Open SWE Review: trigger mode, draft reviews, PR summaries, autofix
mode + severity threshold, plus the existing per-repo review-style
prompts (was /review-styles).
- Integrations: GitHub install status + Slack/Linear status rows.
- New Switch and Menu primitives.
Backend:
- Extend ProfileUpdate with first_name, last_name, base_branch,
branch_prefix, auto_fix_ci, create_prs, allow_artifacts,
slack_notifications, preferred_pr_destination.
- Add team_settings module + /team-settings GET (any session) / PUT
(admin only) for the reviewer configuration.
* fix(dashboard): replace base-ui Menu with plain dropdown, stabilise Selects
- base-ui's Menu hit an "Invalid hook call / Cannot read properties of
null (reading 'useRef')" crash inside fastComponent under Vite's dep
optimisation. The sidebar account menu is the only consumer, so swap
it for a useState-driven dropdown with click-outside + Esc handling
and drop the unused Menu wrapper.
- Initialise the Open SWE Review settings form with the same defaults
the server returns instead of `null`, so the Selects don't switch
from uncontrolled (`undefined`) to controlled on first data load.
* fix(dashboard): address review feedback on admin overwrite + form reset
- admin PUT /admin/profiles/{login} only sent model/effort/repo from the
admin form. ProfileUpdate's Pydantic defaults then wrote auto_fix_ci /
create_prs / slack_notifications etc back onto the target user's
profile, clobbering whatever they had configured. Switch to
model_dump(exclude_unset=True) and overlay the incoming fields on the
user's existing stored profile so only sent fields change.
- my-settings.tsx and cloud-agents.tsx initialised local state from
profile.data on every change. Because useSaveProfile updates the
cached profile on success, toggling any control would overwrite the
user's typed-but-unsaved input in another field. Guard the
initialisation effect with a ref so it runs once on first load.

* feat: tune reviewer for precision — web/wiki tools + recalibrated prompt
Reviewer agent now has web_search, fetch_url, and http_request alongside the
finding tools, so it can verify library semantics and consult the DeepWiki
auto-generated wiki for public repos (https://deepwiki.com/<owner>/<repo>)
before flagging cross-file or architectural concerns.
Prompt rewritten to push precision over recall:
- explicit severity ladder pushing reviews toward bimodal high/low instead of
defaulting to medium
- ≤200-char description target (gold set averages ~186 chars; we were at ~436)
- mandatory docs / wiki / code lookup before flagging concurrency, security,
or perf — the three categories that dominated false positives
- "do not flag" list covering compiler/linter-catchable nits, speculative
claims without a concrete attacker/interleaving/scale, style preferences
the codebase doesn't share, and test-quality nits on non-test diffs
- smart file-selection guidance for large PRs (deprioritize generated /
vendored / pure-rename hunks)
Eval config switched to openai:gpt-5.5 + high reasoning effort for the next
benchmark run.

* reviewer: precision-tuned prompt + drop confidence gate
Rewrites the reviewer system prompt around a defensibility bar (anchor +
failure mode + maintainer wouldn't say "not a bug"), an explicit do-not-file
list (style nits, speculation, scope-policing, same-bug fan-out), and a
checklist of 10 bug archetypes drawn from a per-PR audit of the eval golden
set. The audit showed 145 FPs in the last eval split ~28% speculative, ~26%
style-nit, ~31% real-but-unscored (mostly same-archetype fan-out); the new
prompt targets each class directly.
Confidence is still recorded on every finding for post-hoc calibration but
no longer gates publication — the audit showed the gate was a no-op (agent
self-rated 65% of findings "high" regardless), and the prompt's defensibility
bar is the actual discipline. Drops CONFIDENCE_ORDER, CONFIDENCE_THRESHOLD,
the confidence_threshold kwarg on filter_findings_for_publish, the
confidence_filtered score_mode, and the min_confidence kwarg on the eval
target's _extract_comments — all dead once the gate is gone.
Also removes the "informational" severity tier from the Severity enum,
SEVERITY_ORDER, and all validators / tests / docstrings. It was reserved for
FYI observations the dataset never rewards.
