Summary

First CD-triggered deploy of the new Deploy workflow shipped an amd64 SocketMode image into the ARM64 Fargate task → "exec format error" crash-loop (50 failed starts), CFN stuck on stabilization for ~55 min until cancelled. QEMU was already enabled in deploy.yaml; the missing half is the explicit platform: LINUX_ARM64 on the image asset (both are required per the org rule).

Validation

Deployed from branch (deploy-before-merge) after the rollback settled; service stable on the rebuilt image.
No outage at any point: the prior task revision kept running through the failed deployment.

Tests

tsc --noEmit clean. The real verification is the post-merge CD run rebuilding the image on an amd64 runner — watch it go green.

Root cause of the earlier cancelled/failed Deploy runs on main today.
