Problem

When Adam sends a new DM (not in an existing thread), Lauren's response comes back as a threaded reply in the DM channel instead of a flat replyfrom Adam's original message.

Expected behavior

Lauren should always reply in a flat reply Adam's message, even for the first message in a conversation.
